Eddie Yarbrough always dreamed of making it to the NFL. There were bumps in the road, but he’s found a home with the Buffalo Bills.
The 24-year-old former Grandview High School and Wyoming Cowboys star kept a journal following his journey to the NFL — a journey he shared in a video released by the Bills on Tuesday.
“From a very young age, I knew what I wanted to do and I kind of really centered my life in regards to focus,” Yarbrough says in the video. “If I wanted to be in the NFL, I can’t do this, I can’t do that.
“I remember telling my dad, like, ‘Hey dad, I want to do this the rest of my life. I’m going to be a professional football player when I grow up.’ He said, ‘Hey, you can do anything you want. It’s going to take a lot of hard work, but you can be anything you want to be.’”
The video traverses through his odyssey, from waiting for his name to be called during the NFL draft to trying to earn a spot on the Broncos to finally landing in Buffalo.
